HOT ROD Power Tour

The 2020 HOT ROD Power Tour will kick off on Sunday, Aug. 23, in Norwalk, Ohio at Summit Motorsports Park and roll through seven cities over the course of seven days. The full list of HOT ROD Power Tour stops will include:

Thursday, Aug. 27: University of Illinois - State Farm Center, Champaign, Ill. (New Date)
Friday, Aug. 28: Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, Davenport, Iowa (New Date)
FINALE on Saturday, Aug. 29: Chicagoland Speedway, Joliet, Ill. (New Date / New Venue)

Hot Rod Power Tour will open offsite registration for credential pickup and Registration on Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 am EDT to 6:00 pm EDT and Sunday, August 23, from 9:00 am EDT to 6:00 pm EDT @ the Ernsthausen Barnes Gym, 100 Republic St, Norwalk, OH 44857.

Given that we have automatically transferred your registration to August 23-29, 2020 or transferred your registration to HRPT 2021 per your request, if you still believe there are circumstances that you would like us to consider please complete the form below by July 1, 2020. We will respond within 7 days. Please do not dispute the charge with your credit card company prior to completing this form. This could significantly delay the issuance of any refund.

NEW FOR 2020 Please note if you pre-registered you can arrive onsite at Summit Motorsports Park with your barcoded ticket on Sunday August 23rd . Please print or save your barcode to your mobile device before you arrive onsite since it will be scanned for entry. You do not need to go to the offsite registration if you pre-registered for day 1 at Summit Motorsports Park. All participants must bring a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and their vehicle’s valid government issued registration to the event. There will be signs to direct you to the credential pick up inside Summit Motorsports Park.

Registration and credential pickup starting on Monday, August 24th, through Saturday, August 29th, will be available daily from 12noon to 6:00pm in all subsequent HRPT 2020 cities. PLEASE NOTE: You must go to the designated registration location that will be posted on the event page after Sunday August 23rd.

If you are planning to participate in the tour and ultimately qualify at the final stop as an official 'long-hauler' then it is mandatory that you check-in at registration at the first stop and then personally use your own credential to “punch-in" at every stop. Credentials at the end of the tour that have been scanned in at every stop are eligible for the long-hauler plaques and certificates (a maximum of 1 per credential will be distributed at the end).


Long Hauler package (including credentials) will only be available for collection at the first stop- if a Long Hauler package is purchased and not collected at the first stop the package (including credentials) will default to the Multi-Day package. If Long Hauler package is not collected at the first stop there will be NO price adjustments made when changing to the Multi-Day package. 


Vehicle registrations include a vehicle window sticker and credentials for two adults. Additional passengers are not required to register unless they would like to have their own set of credentials. Once you pick up your credentials, you are set for the entire tour and do not have to stop at registration again. Everyone with a credential is eligible for daily giveaways at the main stage and at select sponsors booths (giveaways are not guaranteed for every booth and items are limited).


Helmets are required for autocross and drag racing. Helmets must meet Snell, SA2010 or SA2015, with a visible SFI tag inside helmet, is the only accepted helmet for competition. Motorcycle or DOT helmets are not allowed under any circumstances.


Any car or truck owner who wants to join the tour is welcomed! Any year, make or model vehicle accepted.


We understand some people have to go to Plan B, C or D for vehicles– We will verify this information at check in – no need to reach out to us before you arrive.
